A new life to waste cotton. With 150 billion garments produced every year for a global population of 7 billion, recycling has infinite potential. This season, 37% of our apparel collection is made with 100% recycled materials. As for denim, it took the industry over ten years to develop fully recycled denim without ending up with a weaker cloth, but together with our supply partners we now have premium recycled garments, and a denim which matches non-recycled in durability and quality. By recycling leftover fabric (20%) and yarn waste (80%), today we maintain the strength of the material so these garments can last a lifetime. Reusing waste cotton saves the water and CO2 emissions required to grow new cotton. If you want to put a number on it; each recycled denim saves about 2,700 litres of water and cuts solvent use by 65%. That’s denim for life!
