Natural indigo comes from the plant Indigofera, which is mostly grown in tropical climates like India and some Central and South American countries. As natural indigo doesn't need chemicals, the water used is not contamminated by using this dye. The Shibori dying technique creates a unique pattern of colored and uncolored parts.
